Softball Program

The WSA softball program runs from May - July for girls 1st grade - 8th grade. Registrations are usually held in February. The WSA believes in giving each participant the confidence to reach their maximum potential on and off the softball field. Coaches work with each participant so they develop as individual players and team members. For additional information, contact the board member in charge.

Divisions

The WSA Softball program is split up into the below divisions:

Eligibility is based off of child's current
age/grade at registration time

Divisions with less than 4 teams will have to participate in the District 19 Association which will require traveling to towns such as Tilden, St. Libory, New Athens, Marissa, Freeburg, Valmeyer, Smithton

At least 1 coach from each District 19 team will be required to attend District 19s annual rules meeting, held in March.

Practice

Practice for all divisions starts the first weekend of April. Teams will be assigned practice times and fields. This information will be provided to the coaches and the coaches are expected to communicate this to their players/parents.
