About Us

Who We Are

Waterloo Sports Association is a not-for-profit community sports association dedicated to the health and fitness of Waterloo residents -- particularly its youth. It began its service to the community more than 40 years ago! Waterloo Sports Association operates separate of the Monroe County Park District, and does not receive any funds from the state, city or county. Its operating funds are self-generated from sources including sign-up fees, sponsorship funds and monies generated from selling concessions and holding various annual fund-raising events. Waterloo Sports Association was founded in 1964, and remains the only organized team sports option for Waterloo youth. Managing the practice and game schedules of 1,000 athletes is an ambitious task. Each season the task is accomplished thanks to dedicated volunteer coaches, loyal parents, enthusiastic players and generous sponsors! This important community organization is led by a volunteer Board of Directors, headed by a non-paid executive committee.
